WHAT IS THE VERY FIRST THING TO DO WHEN I RECEIVE MY KINGSLEY WATCH?

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT PRESS THE DATE PUSHER FUNCTION BETWEEN  9-4 AM or PM Like most vintage movements it is very important to know that this is the time when the date wheel is changing over and pressing the date pusher at this time frame may cause your date to malfunction or even throw off the function of the movement. Please be cognizant of this important feature even when sharing your Kingsley watch or letting other's handle the watch. They may push this button and you or they may not be aware that it may potentially damage the function.

HOW TO PROPERLY SET THE TIME & DATE ON YOUR WATCH?

1. Gently unscrew the coin edge crown counter-clockwise until you feel a slight pop or bump that it has fully disengaged.

2. Gently wind the coin edge crown clockwise for at least 30-60 turns. After please observe the second hand or in some limited edition designs it would be the minute hand to ensure that the movement gears and flywheel have engaged and that the hands are moving. If the hands are not responding after this step please go ahead and repeat this step one more time and gently move the watch around in a Gyroscope like action and count to approximately 10-15 seconds.

3. Gently pull out the coins edge crown until you feel another click sensation that the crown is in a time setting position. At this point you will set the time to 6pm, than you are going to press the date pusher so that you can set the date function which is a window located at the 5 o clock position. Once you have set the date than you will go ahead and set the hour and second by turning the crown clockwise. Please avoid setting the time by turning the crown counter clockwise. You may do this for making slight adjustments to the accuracy of the hour and hands when needed.
